Fowls & Blossoms

We spent our 2nd morning in Hong Kong at the Flower Market and Bird Market. Baby wanted to skip the flower and bird market (said it’ll be boring!) but I was hoping to get some nice pictures of colorful birds and flowers.

So I won!

We took the MTR to Prince Edward Station Exit B1 and walked east along Prince Edward Road West to get to the flower market.

Hm. I’m not sure if we were there too late because the aunties were like all packing up. Here’s what we saw at the flower market.

I didn’t get anything and Mr.Ong didn’t bought me any flowers! Not long after, we strolled down the street from the flower market to the Yuen Po Street Bird Market.

There’s alot of uncles socializing with their precious song birds. There were cages stacked everywhere and everyone was going ooh-and-ahh over these birds, pointing and smiling.

Oh I wanted to feed this big parrot with the nuts from its nut box but was told by a passing old man to avoid direct contact with it lest it decides to peck my fingers instead!

Was feeling hungry after this short self-tour. Next stop, breakfast! We are going a Char Chan Teng where songbird owners dine with their beloved pets in intricately carved cages.
